Overview

June: Voice Screenwriter ("June" or the "App") is an iOS screenplay-writing app provided by AppOrigami. This policy explains what information June handles, why it is handled, where it goes, and the choices available to you.

Information June handles

• Screenplay content, including titles, scenes, dialogue, character names, aliases, and other text.
• Audio recordings you choose to create with the microphone.
• App preferences and the number of free recording minutes remaining.
• If you choose Sign in with Apple, the Apple user identifier and display name supplied to the App. The current version stores these values on your device and does not send them to June's transcription service.
• Subscription status supplied by Apple so June can unlock paid features.

How June uses information

June uses screenplay content, recordings, preferences, and subscription status to provide and maintain App features. A completed recording and limited screenplay context are processed to create a transcript and format it as screenplay text.

AppOrigami does not sell your information. June does not use advertising identifiers, third-party advertising, cross-app tracking, or analytics SDKs, and does not build advertising profiles from your screenplay content or recordings.

On-device and iCloud storage

June stores screenplays on your device. When iCloud is available, the screenplay document may be stored in your Apple Account's private iCloud container so it remains available across your devices. Apple operates iCloud under its own terms and privacy policy.

Audio recordings remain in June's local app container. In Settings, you can keep recordings for 7 days, 30 days, or indefinitely. Choosing 7 or 30 days removes older local recordings after that period. Discarding a take removes its local recording immediately.

Transcription and service providers

When you finish a take and June is not in offline mode, the App sends the recording, selected dictation language, character names and aliases, and limited recent screenplay context to an AppOrigami-operated Supabase Edge Function. The function forwards the audio and character key terms to ElevenLabs Speech to Text, receives a transcript, and returns formatted screenplay elements to the App.

Supabase and ElevenLabs process this information on AppOrigami's behalf. June's current transcription request does not use ElevenLabs Zero Retention Mode. ElevenLabs may retain request inputs and outputs under its privacy policy and service settings for service improvement, troubleshooting, safety, and security.

The AppOrigami Edge Function does not intentionally save recordings, screenplay context, or returned transcripts to an AppOrigami database. Temporary copies may exist in provider infrastructure, logs, backups, or security systems as described by those providers' policies.

Microphone and purchases

June asks for microphone permission only when recording a take. You may deny or revoke access in iOS Settings. Typing, editing, and exporting do not require microphone access.

Optional subscriptions are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. Apple may provide transaction and entitlement information needed to unlock subscribed features. AppOrigami does not receive your full payment card details.

Retention and deletion

• Screenplays remain until you delete them, remove the App and its data, or delete their iCloud copies.
• Local recordings remain for the period selected in Settings unless you remove them sooner.
• Signing out or using Delete Account removes June's locally stored Sign in with Apple association; it does not delete screenplay files on your device or in iCloud.
• Supabase and ElevenLabs retain or delete processed data according to AppOrigami's service configuration and their applicable policies.

You may contact AppOrigami to request deletion of data under its control and assistance with a processor request where applicable.

Security and international processing

June uses encrypted HTTPS connections for transcription. AppOrigami takes reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information, but no storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own under their applicable international-transfer safeguards.

Your choices

You can use June without Sign in with Apple. Typing, editing, and export work without microphone permission. Offline mode prevents new recordings from being sent for transcription until you choose to process them.

Children's privacy

June is not directed to children under 13, and AppOrigami does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact AppOrigami if you believe a child supplied personal information through June.

Changes and contact

AppOrigami may update this policy as June or its data practices change. The revised policy will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
